Ughhh! I have tried to change this ugly background a million times! Why won't it change? Can anyone help me? I copy and paste the new background info under "add a gadget", but it never takes. What am I doing wrong?
The way I do it is at the bottom of the "customize" page, there is an "add a gadget" button...dont use the side bar "add a gadget". When I click the "add a gadget", I pick the third one(i think) - HTML/Java Script. Copy and paste the link into that and then save it...it should work! Hopefully that makes sense! You can call me if you need to if it doesnt work. Shauna
What are you trying to change? The brown in the middle or the pink on the side?
If you're trying to change the brown, you need to pick a new template. It's under layout, pick new template. You need to choose a plain one like "minima" to add a gadget over the top of it.
I know, it's so frustrating trying to edit these blogs sometimes!!!
Thanks you guys! I had to delete all my previous tries first, then it worked. Ok How do I put all of your blogs on the side of mine like you all have? And how do you know if someone has updated their blog without looking their blog up? Does it get emailed to you? Thanks so much!
So, to get the names on the side, add a gadget in the sidebar of your layout called "Blog List" (It should be about the tenth one listed in the gadgets) then it should be self explanitory from there. When you're at your layout page, you can also click and drag the gadgets to whatever order you want them in...for example, if you wanted to have the "blog list" before your "blog archive", you can just click on the "blog list" and drag it above the "blog archive" hope this helps!
oh, and if you wanted to change the fonts and colors of your blog, there is a sub-tab under the layout section that can let you do that. Because everytime I change the background on my blog, i have to change the font colors because they dont always match and it can get hard to see.
